Photos: Boy has chopstick removed from brain after shoving it up his nose

A 2 year old Chinese boy named Huang Zicheng had to have a chopstick removed from deep within his brain after he accidentally shoved it up his nose. The chopstick penetrated three inches into his brain and doctors who spent four hours carefully taking it out of the little boy's skull said if it had gone any further, it would have caused brain injury.

Speaking about the incident, the father told a Chinese newspaper that he knew his child was in trouble when he screamed like he'd never screamed before

"I turned around and was shocked to find that the long stick had gone into his head from his nose.”

The boy's parents rushed him to the hospital where the chopstick was removed

Defence HQ denies Cameroon military's involvement in recent fights against Boko Haram

The Defence Headquarters has denied claims by Cameroonian military of being involved in the fight against Boko Haram in recent times, especially in Konduga Borno state where a major victory against the sect group was recorded. According to the Nigerian Defence, all fights against Boko Haram in Kondura and other border towns were carried out by Nigerian troops.

The Cameroonian military had earlier in a statement claimed to have killed the man believed to be the impersonator of late leader of the sect group, Abubakar Shekau.

South African minister says death toll at Synagogue building collapse now 115

South African minister, Jeff Radebe today Sept. 22nd, said that the death toll from the Synagogue building collapse has risen to 115. Radebe said this at an airforce base, North of Johannesburg in South Africa where 25 South Africans who were injured in the collapsed building were brought home in a military C-130 aircraft (pictured above) for treatment. He however maintained that 84 South Africans died in the tragedy.

"We understand from our assessment team that the total number of people who have perished is now 115, but those are not all South Africans. South Africans are about 84 that have died" Jeff Radebe told reporters.

The Nigerian Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, put the death toll from the collapse at 86.

The South African minister also said that 26 injured South Africans were meant to return back home today but one of them decided to stay back at the Synagogue church. A 19-member medical team including specialist doctors, nurses and medical military paramedics took care of the injured on board the military C-130 aircraft. Among those transported today included two orphaned toddlers whose parents died in the tragedy.

21 year old American Jasmine Tridevil, claimed she had plastic surgery to create a third breast to scare men away. And now she wants her own MTV reality show.

The woman who is based in Tampa Florida, shares pictures on her Facebook page to 'show the struggles she faces because of her surgery.' She said her main reason for getting a third breast was because she didn't want to appear attractive to men.

"I got the surgery because I wanted to turn off guys. I know it sounds crazy but I don’t want to date again ever. I still like to feel pretty. If I got a third breast implant most guys would think that’s weird and gross. But I can still feel pretty. I’m starting a reality show calledJasmine’s Jugs and my ultimate goal is to get it onto MTV. That’s my dream.”she wrote on FB

Jasmine claims she's spent $20,000 on the procedure a few months ago, after struggling to find a doctor who would perform the operation.

“I called 50 doctors. It was really hard finding someone that would do it too because they’re breaking the code of ethics.” she said

She claims her third breast was made using an implant and skin tissue cut from her abdomen. She said her parents didn't react well when they found out

“My mum ran out the door. She won’t talk to me. She won’t let my sister talk to me. My dad, he really isn’t happy. He is kind of ashamed of me but he accepted it.”

Asked if any of his children study here in Nigeria, Atiku said 

"My daughters went to ABU(Ahmadu Bello University Zaria), one in Medicine, one in Pharmacy. The strikes did drive some of my kids abroad. They needed to finish on time. This is unfortunate and we need to fix it. Student fees do not cover AUN's recurrent expenditures. I cover that for now"

Asked if he will be defecting to any other party after his defection from PDP to APC, Atiku says the APC is "my last bus stop".

On how to improve executive accountability, Atiku advised that young people should elect better House of Assembly and Representative members. 

Dispelling rumors of being declared wanted in America. Atiku said he has an American visa which was issued last year but that he has no reason to visit the United states for now as his family doesn't live there anymore.

On how he would be improving the economy if elected President, Atiku said he would be focusing on 

"Agriculture and Human resource base. Our economy does not need to be resource based. Our resources should be a means to an end. Our people must be willing to take risks. My first real business in transportation (hire purchase). I actually lost my transport business but I tried again. I kept on. Young entrepreneurs need access to low interest funding and business information".

How romantic! Jnr Pope's wife shares his very dramatic proposal to her

Jennifer, the beautiful wife of actor, Jnr Pope Odonwodo took to her instagram page today to share her husband's dramatic proposal to her which happened exactly one year ago today. Quite dramatic but unique. Read her story below...

"Before that fateful day, Esther & I had been talking & she told me that a girl/fan (Ojeah) was coming from London and she already made arrangements on a hotel where she would stay and that my man would be spending a day or two with her at the hotel. I asked Esther how she got the info, she said my man told her hubby and her hubby told her in confidence...but cz of d likeness she has for me, she wouldn't want me fooled/hurt. I was irked, I was hurt, but I was strong enough not to shed a tear." Continue...

After further inquiries, Esther told me the girl would be coming 21st Sept. 2013 but my man would join her on 22nd (a day after). I was relieved because I had a wedding to attend on the 21st & I was the maid of honour. On the 20th, my man told me he had something to do in Port Harcourt and would be there for two days. That statement confirmed Esther's words. I still couldn't believe it was happening because I trusted him with my life. I told him he could go and that he should drive safely. On that fateful day 22nd Sept. 2013, I went for service, I wasn't comfy...thoughts kept crawling....thoughts like: what could they be doing now? Hugging, kissing, or prolly strafing....(lol)....before the service was over, I left church and headed for PH. You needed to have seen me. I wore a strong tight, a black dress and a flip flop ready to fight. I got to PH, met with Esther & she took me to the supposed hotel. She said she'd wait at the reception while I go knock on room 101. I did and behold this fair girl came, opened the door and said: Yes, who are you? I pushed the door ready to explode only to find four other people in the room including my man, a bed decorated with scented candles & cute roses. It had the inscription: Say yes! Jnr Pope fell on his knees and said: I'm tired of being on the fast lane. I want you to have my last name and he showed me this beautiful ring...awwwww..I wept uncontrollably.....its one year today..

Former NFL player dies in car crash at 36 just 3 months after his wedding

Former NFL player Rob Bironas (pictured above), died around 11pm on Saturday night September 20th in a car crash near his home in Nashville, Tennessee. According to reports, Rob lost control of the 2009 GMC Yukon SUV he was driving (they say he was speeding) and swerved off the road, hitting several trees and turning the vehicle upside down. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but was pronounced dead on arrival. He was  just 36.

Just three months ago, in June, Rob married country singer Rachel Bradshaw, who's also the daughter of Hall of Fame quarterback, Terry Bradshaw. Rachel is said to be inconsolable. See pics of the happy couple before the tragic incident

Rob made a name for himself becoming the Tennessee Titans' second leading scorer of all-time and owning the fourth-best field goal percentage in NFL history with an 85.7 percent rate, according to his Wikipedia page.

Cameroon military is claiming they killed BH leader Shekau, shares pic

The Cameroon military yesterday announced they have killed Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, in a statement released on their website. The statement was written in French (a language I don't understand...so I got the report from Cameroon Concord. See it below...

In a rare public show by the Cameroon army, photos of the Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau were made public alongside a statement claiming he was killed during a cross border raid deep inside Nigeria by the Cameroon military. A Cameroon military source who spoke to Cameroon Concord late last night, revealed that Abubakar Shekau was killed following an aerial bombardment of his hideout inside Nigeria. The Cameroon army has ever since yesterday been in serious combat against thousands of Boko Haram fighters trying to enter Cameroon via Fotokol from Gambaral Ngala in Nigeria.

Is that the same man though?
