Boko Haram kills 45 in fresh attacks in Borno state

No fewer than 45 people were killed by Boko Haram members in an attack on Azaya Kura village in the Mafa local government area of Borno state on Wednesday November 19th.

According to residents of the village who fled to Maiduguri the state capital for safety, the sect members arrived their village at about 12noon on motorcycles, shooting anyone in sight

Delta EPZ project crisis: Tompolo denies any involvement, blames Uduaghan, Keyamo

Ex-militant Ekpemupolo, (alias Tompolo) has denied any involvement in the $16 billion Export Processing Zone (EPZ) project crisis rocking Delta State. In a bid to clear himself of any wrong doing, Tompolo released a statement today where he accused the current Delta state governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan and his predecessor, Jame Ibori of trying to use the project to collect the land belonging to his people, the Ijaws of Gbaramatu kingdom.

Supreme Court fires Taraba acting governor, reinstates impeached deputy

Former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Sanni Danladi, who was impeached by the state House of Assembly in October 2012 under questionable circumstances has been reinstated as the new governor of the state by the Supreme court of Nigeria. Alhaji Danladi served as the deputy governor of the state under Dambaba Suntai who is now very ill.

Shocking! man brutally beating a woman with a huge chunk of wood

OMG! The brutal assault of a woman by a man in Brazil has gone viral online. The very disturbing 35 second video showing the man beating a screaming woman repeatedly with a huge chunk of wood was posted to Youtube a few days ago. The poster said it happened in Brazil but didn't say who the victim and attacker were. Though some comments suggested that she's his partner.

Another military helicopter crashes near FUT in Yola

According to Sahara Reporters, another military helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Airforce crashed in Damare, near the Federal University of Technology in Yola, Adamawa State, around the same spot where the last helicopter crashed on November 14th. The military is yet to say anything about the crash and no word yet if there are casualties. Details later

A student of Computer Science Department of University of Calabar name withheld almost lost his sight after a lecturer known as Chris Otu in the Department of Economics, University of Calabar stabbed him with his-car key during lecture hour.
According to an eye-withness Mr Otu was supposed to have a class with year 3 students of Computer Science Department by 10.am, today 21 Nov. but he failed to appear after keeping the students waiting for two hours, he later appeared by 12-noon.

FFK calls Governor Amaechi pot bellied, house boy, monkey and cultist
